Observations of London

When a man is tired of the quote “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.” he is tired of all the right things; for there are a million and one better ways to say how great this city is than with an anachronistic statement like that.

I am a student. I don’t have an infinite supply of money enabling me to buy £14 cocktails at Mayfair bars or eat in endless trendy no reservation restaurants in Soho (as much as I’d like to).

My aim with this blog is not to brag about expensive days and nights out in this city but to have a look at what makes the place tick and to find what lies under the ‘scene’.  Sometimes, I’m sure many of my Londonese comrades will agree, it all gets a bit Emperor’s New Clothes.

So expect no instragrammed photographs of Ceviche (tasty as it is) and no in depth recollections of evenings in Shoreditch House.

I enjoy eating out and going for drinks as much as the next person, and going cool places – so I’ll try my best to recount decent stuff that is free/ doesn’t cost the earth!
